Our trip to Leiden began on Thursday morning at the train station in Bamberg. After an 8-hour journey we finally arrived in the rainy, but beautiful Leiden. Immediately we recognized the Dutch charm through all the bicycles and windmills. We instantly fell in love with the country. The NWM started with a dinner together and icebreaking games. After that everybody got a key for a bicycle and we had to find the right one. After a short stay in a bar we cycled to the modern gym in which we slept. The official NWM began after a short night with lots of workshops in the impressive city hall of Leiden. Topics as civic education, HR management or the Dutch students culture were discussed. The day was enclosed with a pool party. At Saturday we started with a city rallye. Afterwards we could decide between different workshops and went to Den Haag in the afternoon. There we collected signatures for the European Citizen Initiative and enjoyed the Christmassy atmosphere. In the evening we had the opportunity to get to know the others and their cultures more closely at the European night. After that we went to a student’s club and ended the wonderful evening there. Unfortunately, we had to leave on Sunday morning. Retrospective it was a weekend full of nice experiences and we are looking forward to seeing the aegeeans again. Completely following the motto: See you somewhere in Europe!
